How did you feel when you were offered to design game characters?

I got too excited, checked my email again to see if this was really for me. I have worked with many app games, but a BL game was new to me.

I have always been a huge fan of sci-fi and futuristic fantasy with military concepts, so when I heard about the concept of the game, I couldn't believe my eyes.

【Velvet React】 is a "BL game". Are there any point you conscious of when designing the characters and costumes for a "BL game".

I aimed to provide them with environmentally adjustable clothing. I believed they needed to adapt to the environment in various ways according to their world setting. Therefore, when designing their costumes, I ensured they were suitable for all kinds of situations and various uses with just one outfit. By incorporating features such as opening zippers or sleeves, the clothing can be worn lightly, while locking the zipper and wearing sleeves allows it to be worn as a uniform.

Also, I considered various textures. For example, snipers who must spend long periods on their knees have clothing designed with hard materials, whereas characters who engage in close-range combat have clothing made from lighter materials to enable quick movement.
Since each character has a designated color, I designed them to be easy to remember and draw.

Additionally, they are easy to take off.

【Velvet React】have a "ROOM" function where you can enjoy conversations between characters. What kind of conversations would you like to hear?

I want to discuss their embarrassing secrets... such as their unflattering graduation photos, personal diaries, and even finding used tissues.

Any developments you are expecting or would like to see us try in the future?

As a smartphone user, I always carry my phone wherever I go. I want to see an in-room feature where I can listen to their ASMR with a CG, allowing me to play it or listen to it before I go to sleep.

It has always been one of my dreams to do character designs for a BL game.
